Thank you for your interest in joining our Transport User Panel.

You are joining thousands of other people – just like you – on our panel to make transport better. Whether you travel by car, bus, train, bike, foot, e-scooter or any other way – we want to hear from you. By joining our panel, you’ll be helping us to directly influence the Government, local authorities and transport operators to improve your experience of making journeys.

To join our panel you will need to provide an email address, and we will also ask for some more information about you. This includes basic personal information such as your gender and age, and your health status (which is considered to be sensitive personal information).

We use the information that we ask for so that we can send our panellists surveys which are relevant to them, and so that we can understand more about how the experience of using transport is different for different ‘types’ of people. While the analysis from our research is sometimes shared with organisations who have a legitimate interest in it, such as those that manage transport services, the data is anonymous. We will never send your contact details – or any information which would identify you personally – to anybody.

When you complete the process of signing-up to our panel you are free to decide whether you want to give us the information we ask for or not. We hold and use this information only with your consent which you are asked to provide at the end of the process of signing up as a panellist.

Any information we collect about you, by signing up to the panel or through our surveys, is used solely for research purposes and is held in accordance with the Data Protection Act and Market Research Society Code of Conduct. Please also note that we do not collect cookies via any of the surveys that we send to you.

You can withdraw your consent for us to hold details about you and leave the panel at any time. To do this just click 'unsubscribe' at the bottom of any emails that we send to you or contact us directly by emailing us at panelhelpdesk@transportfocus.org.uk . You can also use this email address to ask us any questions regarding the panel.
